FROM OUR GALLERY

"The unbearable lightness of foreign politics"

Launch of the caricature exhibition from the archive of Giulio Andreotti

Guilio Andreotti thought of satire as an expression of a healthy democracy. The long-serving Italian minister of foreign affairs adored and collected caricatures on international politics. We picture his love for satire in our exhibition "the unbearable lightness of foreign politics". 130 caricatures from Giulio Andreotti's archive tell 40 years of international political history with biting irony and in some case political incorrectness. The project is curated by the Hanns Seidel Foundation Italy/Vatican in collaboration with the Istituto Luigi Sturzo. The exhibition is currently hosted bythe Italian Chamber of Deputies.
