Let's make a difference!

The number of people at risk of famine has reached unprecedented levels this century: according to estimates, up to 1.9 million people were on the brink of famine in 2024 - especially in the Gaza Strip and Sudan.

The topic of food security is extremely important to the Hanns Seidel Foundation Italy/Vatican. In Rome, we collaborate with the UN organizations FAO (Food and Agriculture Organization), IFAD (International Fund for Agricultural Development), and WFP (World Food Programme). Dominik Heinrich, Director of Innovation at the UN World Food Programme, is a particularly important contact for us.

He explains: "Humanitarian needs are increasing worldwide. WFP is at the forefront of supporting families with nutritional aid and helping hungry people where they are. Right now, at the end of the year, each of us can make a small contribution and share a meal with those in need. It's easy with our digital donation platform, ShareTheMeal."

Thank you for your support. Together we can do it!
